It gives us great pleasure to bring a workshop for Parents and Guardians on ‘The Gifted Child’ by Usha Pandit.

An awareness building workshop intended to help clear the myths surrounding the talented or gifted child. This workshop includes the definition, characteristics and manifestations of giftedness, at-risk behaviours and suggested parental interventions. It also highlights what is needed at a school level and shares strategies on issues ranging from boredom, distraction and underachievement to ADHD to self-destructive behaviour. We will speak of supporting the emotional and social needs of the child, with the child’s personal fulfilment and happiness as a priority. The workshop will be full of tips on the joys and challenges of raising particularly bright, curious and talented children. This workshop is aimed at parents, grandparents and other caregivers, and aims to include the gifted in all discussions on special needs.
