What is STEM and why is it important for my child? An introduction to how the 8 books work and how to manage time and pace. Is it possible for me to take my child through these books without any formal teaching degree? What help will I get from the mentor? What is VFC and how does it help my child to retain what he/she learns. Differentiation and readiness. Achievements and outcomes.

  • Session 2. English Vocabulary (Word study) & Talking Pictures (Whole language learning)

    A brief description of the books. What do they contain? How much should we do? Why are these books important to the child? What help do we need? Understanding methods and resources for the books. Time tabling the books. How do the books reinforce learning?

  • Session 3. Numeracy & Logic (Numbers and Patterns) & Art and Construction (Art and STEM)

    A brief description of the books. What do they contain? How much should we do? Why are these books important to the child? What help do we need? Understanding methods and resources for the books. Time tabling the books. How do the books reinforce learning?

  • Session 4. Environment, Science and Culture (EVS) & Stories for Critical Thinking (Critical & Lateral Thinking)

    A brief description of the books. What do they contain? How much should we do? Why are these books important to the child? What help do we need? Understanding methods and resources for the books. Time tabling the books. How do the books reinforce learning?

  • Session 5. Oral Activities for Fluency (Speaking skills) & Phonic, Sight and Rhyme Reader (Early reading skills)

    A brief description of the books. What do they contain? How much should we do? Why are these books important to the child? What help do we need? Understanding methods and resources for the books. Time tabling the books. How do the books reinforce learning?

  • Session 6. Final Summary session

    Overall view of sessions for feedback and responses. Going back to objectives outlined in Session 1 to evaluate outcomes and future prospects. Clearing final doubts. Sharing experience with the books and the children so far.
