Our History and Growth
Usha Pandit started her teaching journey in the mid 1980s, teaching in schools in Chennai and then moved overseas, early 1990s, teaching in schools in Hong Kong with the British curriculum, in New
Zealand with NZ syllabus and in Australian International School in Jakarta with Australian curriculum, for
nearly a decade.
After returning to India, she started Mindsprings in 2002.

Mindsprings began its first academic consultancy with Oasis International School, Bangalore in 2002.
Concept mapping, curriculum design, teacher training and workshops were conducted. Since then,
Mindsprings has provided academic consultancy to reputed educational institutions such as The
Cathedral & John Cannon School in Mumbai, Euro Schools, Universal Group of Schools, Poddar Group of
Schools, Shishuvan and others. Details of the academic consulting work are provided under the section
Academic Consulting. The academic consulting covered setting up academic systems, curriculum design,
pedagogical methods, class observations and feedback, teacher training and audit, and teaching skill
demonstrations.
Usha Pandit authored the highly acclaimed English textbooks “Empowering English” for Grades 1 to 8, in 2007. This was followed by the unique books “Language with Ease” series, for developing grammar, vocabulary, verbal and writing skills in children from Grade 1 to 7. She has also written “Writing with Ease”, a unique reference book which helps students develop writing skills and creative writing. “Grammar with Ease” is another book which is focused on basic foundations of English grammar.
These books are now used in reputed schools in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Surat and several other cities.
With the conviction that having a proper foundation in the early years is most essential for development in later years, Usha Pandit has written a unique set of books for Pre-Primary children ages 3+, 4+ and 5+. These books build the foundations in English language – reading and oral skills, Science, Math, Art, Environment, Critical thinking, Phonics and Sight reading.

TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS
REGULAR TEACHER TRAINING COURSES AT SCHOOLS
- A unique effort was made in training all the teachers and administrative staff of one school in English for a period of 2 years with regular inputs and study materials and testing. The school reported an overall positive change in the standards of English across the board. It was also the testing ground for change management and its travails.
- Sustained workshop support at MSB Mumbai to strengthen basic skills(2010)
- Support workshops done at Podar Group of Schools across India giving their English programmes a foundation and meaning and progressive thrust. (2011- 2013)
- Mindsprings worked with the MSB School in Mumbai and around 50 Podar schools
